One of the UK’s leading website design and marketing companies is looking to double its workforce in the next six months, offering new jobs to the local community as part of an extensive expansion.

South Devon based Createanet will also be offering one lucky individual a rare opportunity to start a new career and become a website design apprentice, working with some of the company’s famous high profile clients which includes the film industry.

Local Torbay businessman Kevin King, managing director of Createanet, founded the company in 1999 with a vision of helping to build and promote local business over the Internet. Over the past eight years Createanet has continued to grow with a client list that includes Icon Movies and Lions Gate Films, but Kevin has remained focused on promoting and helping local business including Maggie and Co and the Richardson Hotels group.

Kevin explained: “Local business has always been important to me and will always remain an important part of the company. The Internet has empowered local companies to compete at a national level, and we are committed to helping local business to benefit from our marketing skills.”

Kevin currently employs a team of 10 professional website designers and developers at its purpose built studio on the Torbay Business Park at Paignton. The International and local success of the company has lead to Kevin’s decision to double the size of its workforce within the next year.

“We are specifically looking for website designers and developers to join the Createanet team. Our ongoing success can only be attributed to the quality of our work and our ability to listen to the needs of our clients.” Kevin added.

“We will be recruiting exclusively within the local community before commencing a national recruitment campaign. This will give local people the chance to apply first, which will help to bring new jobs into the area. We may be based in the South West but we have a superb reputation for our high quality work with national and international companies and we offer excellent rates of pay which gives our staff far better working conditions and prospects than with some of the better-known big London companies. We are keen to talk to existing local website designers and developers and look forward to being able to help build their untapped potential.”

Createanet’s services include, website design and development, flash, animation, multimedia production, search engine optimisation, online marketing and ecommerce. The company is looking to recruit website designers and website developers with skills and knowledge of web technologies including HTML/CSS, PHP/ MySQL , Accessibility and AJAX.
