A long established Torquay company has seen sales dramatically increase with the launch of a new website.
Allsop and Pitts, which supplies commercial catering equipment and food preparation products, now supplies a vast number of products online to a national market, thanks to website design and marketing studio Createanet.
David Purdy of Allsop and Pitts explained: “We started working with Createanet a couple of years ago when we still had our old site. This wasn’t performing well, especially in the search engines, so we decided it was time for an update.
“I’m more than pleased with the new site – it’s performing much better than the previous one and our online sales are much better than before. From a performance point of view we’re more than happy with the new site – it’s not just e-commerce enabling our products to be sold to a wider audience, supplying customers throughout the UK, but it also acts as a shop window to showcase our products.”
He added: “Allsop and Pitts was established more than 60 years ago and over the years has always used and kept up with modern technology. The new site enables us to continue to be a local company but also as competitive as other national companies.”
And David, who first met Createanet founder, Kevin King, when he was a chef before setting up the company, praised studio manager, Paul Garland who he said was extremely helpful throughout the whole design and build of the site.
Kevin added: “Paul is able to explain to the client the process, to take their ideas and incorporate them into the design and function of the site.
“He has vast experience at dealing with clients and integrating their wishes if at all possible.”
The new site enables the family owned and run company to add special offers when they become available as well as details about latest projects. There are also different sections for the various areas of the firm’s business.
