A move into new offices has generated a wealth of extra business for one of Torbay’s best known website design and marketing companies.

Createanet moved into a purpose built studio on the Torbay Business Park at Paignton six months ago and, since then, managing director Kevin King, has enjoyed a surge in business from local firms.

The company won several international contracts – including creating a website for Mel Gibson’s controversial film The Passion of the Christ – but Kevin has always insisted his main business is helping local companies.

And with more and more organisations and firms looking to the Internet to boost awareness and sales, business is at its highest level ever for the team at Createanet.

During the past month the talented team have completed three new websites – for Christine’s School of Motoring, SixtySurf based at Paignton and the Torbay based Golf Products UK. It has re-made the site for the Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust

But the orders continue to flood in and the team are working round the clock to meet their targets and keep the customers happy.

According to Kevin King, it’s all down to the fact Createanet is a specialised company that totally devotes all its work to website design.

“We don’t get involve in printing or any other aspects but simply use the talented experience of our team to create top quality websites for our clients,” Kevin explained.

“These days it is imperative for companies to have a website.. Not to have one is like being without a telephone,” Kevin insisted. “It’s the one point that everyone turns to for more information. Often people looking to do business with a company will check out its website first so it is important to have a quality site that will impress.”

Kevin took on additional designers when the company moved into the new studio just after Christmas. Established in 1999, it rapidly made a name for itself as one of the premier web design studios in the south west and places tremendous importance on selecting the right staff – a mixture of creative and technical talents that help ensure the best results for all its clients.

The current team, in addition to Kevin, includes creative director Carl Billinghurst, multi media and animation specialist Joe Rabbit, graphic designer Paul Garland, database developer Peter Ellis and Kevin’s wife, Fiona, as account manager. The company also has the facility for web marketing through a subsidiary division E-Strategy.

Kevin added: “ Our success comes from our outstanding service. We discuss projects with our clients every step of the way, including explaining costs and timescale so there are no nasty surprises. We also promise not to bog customers down with wordy technical contracts but just what they need to know and we make sure they are pleased with it.”

But it’s the quality of the website that ensures local customers keep coming back. “If companies want to remain ahead of the competition then they have to impress and that’s why we have taken the decision to purely concentrate on website design to ensure our customers stand out from the rest.”

The latest site to be developed is Christine’s School of Motoring which highlight’s the school’s success rate, backed up by testimonials from ‘Learner’ drivers who were impressed with the instruction they received … and passed!.

Established since 1992, Christine’s School of Motoring provides both male and female instructors and proudly boasts a very high pass rate. The new website reflects the fact the school’s aim is to provide an exceptional service to all its pupils, helping them to pass their driving test and become safe drivers for life.

The 3 Sixty Surf Shop in Paignton is marketed on its new website as the ‘Best Place for Surf Clothing and Accessories on the Net.’

The company offers bargain buys in all top names and brands and covers everything needed for Surf, Street, Snow and Skates.

Another website just completed is Golf Products UK, also based in Paignton, which was set up to import golf tees and lake balls, supplying direct to the public and trade at affordable prices.

The company is run by Danny Wilkinson who was so impressed with the service provided by Createanet, he volunteered a testimonial for Createanet’s own website.

Danny explained: “Createanet designed and built an excellent E commerce website that included cart facilities, superb behind the scenes stock control management and an expandable solution that can grow to accommodate the golf products business over the coming years”.

“The whole solution was configured quickly, efficiently and first class training was provided for my staff. The team at Createanet were extremely helpful and professional and they were very receptive to any minor modifications that were specific to the business. In all, I would recommend any business looking for an internet solution to contact Createanet as soon as possible.”

Other local companies who have benefited from Createanet’s expertise include Conference Torquay, Brixham Rib Powerful School, Luscombe Maye estate agents and the Riviera International Centre.

The company’s own website is full of accolades which include such testimonials as “Createanet exceeded all our expectations”, “ The results were spectacular” and “Even our competitors agree ours is one of the best sites.”

Kevin added: “We took a gamble in moving from a High Street location to a purpose built studio on a business park but thankfully our superb reputation has ensured local companies keep the orders rolling in.”
