Top Scottish Company uses South Devon's Leading Website Company

A British company which has representation in 10 countries has chosen a South Devon website designer to help boost its new independent image across the world.

Brand-Rex Ltd, which designs and manufactures copper and fibre cabling systems, commissioned Paignton marketing and website designers Createanet to build a new website in five languages and an on-line tracking system for customers around the world to follow their orders.

It proved a very different challenge for the Createanet team, led by managing director Kevin King and creative designer Carl Billinghurst.

“After gaining it’s independent status Brand-Rex Ltd set us a deadline to design and build a website for the new company in five languages across 10 countries. The site is fully content managed by the different countries and we are now processing phase two which is the order tracking system so that customers and contractors can login and follow their orders,” Carl explained.

Brand-Rex, which employs 400 staff in Glenrothes, Scotland and Leigh, near Manchester, is acknowledged as one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of cabling for the data communications industry. A recent £6 million investment has been targeted towards its strategic plan of achieving a clear leadership position in the Western Europe communications market and a strong role as a provider of niche, high performance cables. It’s wide range of markets include computer networking and telecommunications as well as a range of speciality cables for industrial, rail, aerospace, marine and military applications.

Spokesman for the UK Jason Bond explained: “With representation in so many different countries we could have easily chosen a foreign website designer to build our new site but we like to chose British companies and Createanet came highly recommended.

“The latest phase of its work to design the tracking system is extremely important because we are currently shipping between two and three thousand lines a week to our customers around the world and this new system will enable them to keep an update on the orders and their delivery.”
