One of Torbay’s top fashion stores has decided to go even trendier … by launching its own ‘on-line’ shop!
Maggie & Co, the luxury ladies wear store in Torquay which has been trading for over 30 years, has decided to launch its first website which will include an on-line shopping facility allowing customers to buy genuine end of season stock at discounted prices.
The new site – www.maggieandco.co.uk – has been designed by South Devon’s leading website and marketing company, Createanet, and the first phase has been unveiled this week.
Createanet managing director Kevin King explained: “Our brief was to produce a website in two phases. The first was to design a premier site to showcase some of the major collections Maggie & Co carry and to encourage people to register for events and promotions”.
“Phase two is to open the on-line shop which will be accessed through the main website and which will sell the end of season stock at attractive sale prices.”
The actual date for the opening of the new on-line shop has not yet been announced but customers can register their interest now so they can be e-mailed in advance of the opening date.
Maggie Williams, the owner of Maggie & Co, said: “ We have been a top retailer in Torquay for over 30 years but selling via the web is a first for us and a new and exciting strategy. Having Createanet’s support and know how for such a development is, as far as I am concerned, a must and I am looking forward to working with the Createanet team to make this a successful shopping experience.”

We stock several major collections from designers such as Armani, Burberry, Diane von Furstenberg, Ralph Lauren and Valentino to name but a few. Naturally we have had to work closely with Kevin King and his team to ensure the right image was projected and to my mind, the success of the new site is down to the fact that Createanet was prepared to take time in understanding our business. When they combined customer knowledge with their experience, flexibility and dedication, they were able to create a first class website.”
