South Devon marketing and website design company Createanet is set to hit the film world in a big way this weekend when the latest John Travolta blockbuster film 'Basic' is launched.

Createanet, which has designed the website for the thriller, has been working day and night to ensure it promotes the film in a big way.

John Travolta and Samuel L Jackson co-star in the gripping film which is also being promoted with a major splash in a national newspaper.  But it will be Createanet's website that is likely to receive the biggest number of ‘hits’ as film goers sign on to find out details about the story line and cast.

It is the first major website for a blockbuster film which Createanet has designed for Icon Movies.  It follows its success earlier this year when Createanet was awarded the contract to look after the entertainment business interests for Icon Movies, which is part owned by superstar Mel Gibson. 

The co-stars Travolta and Jackson, who will be on screen for the first time since their Oscar nominated performances in Pulp Fiction, are involved in a gripping thriller that revolves around the disappearance of a legendary army drill instructor and a training exercise that might have resulted in murder. They have to piece together the truth... but there are degrees of truth and it is far from Basic!

Createanet’s Kevin King said: "Although we were invited by Icon to produce a mini website for its UK release, 'The Rules of Attraction', this is our first major  film and we are delighted everything has gone to plan.

"The film is due to be released on Friday and we hope the website will create  such superb interest that everyone will want to go and see it."

Icon Film Distribution release almost one film a month and Kevin and the Createanet team are hopeful they will be invited to produce websites for many more films. One of Icon Movies films due for release later this summer is Blackball directed by Mel Smith which was filmed on location in Torquay.

Createanet has already produced the website for the Icon Group which is a dynamic site that includes details of the latest releases, a large film library, press room and information on films due to be screened this year.
