Instead of purely giving visitors to the website information, Beverley Holidays is to ask their guests to contribute their views and memories via a distinctive new section on the holiday company’s new website.
Website design and marketing studio Createanet has created a new fully interactive section with members able to chat to each other about their holidays, offering advice on the best places to visit in the area, what to see and do and what to expect via a members’ forum.
It will also include an area where people can upload their own holiday snaps, sharing their memories with others and a news section for special offers only available to members.
And if any of the snaps are suitable, they will be used throughout the main part of the website.
Tim Jeavons, holiday park manager, explained: “We decided it was time to have a new website and we wanted to do something which will involve our guests more.
“Kevin King at Createanet suggested that people always like to share their snaps — it’s a place where they can direct their friends and family to have a look.
“The pictures will all be reviewed by us to make sure they are suitable to be uploaded.
“We’ll pick our favourites and use a selection of these in the main part of the site. We want to make the whole site more personalised and feel this is a great way to achieve this.
“We get many people returning to us year after year and making good friends while they’re here. It will be nice for them to have an area where they can keep in touch with each other.”
The new section will incorporate the latest developments in website technology, using special features to encourage visitors to spend longer on the site and new visitors to log on.
Kevin explained: “These days there is so much competition in the holiday market. Unless companies have a website which stands out and includes additional features, there’s a good chance they will be missing out on potential bookings.
“Tim and Claire Jeavons at Beverley Park were looking for ways to improve the website and to involve their guests as much as possible.
The new website — www.beverley-holidays.co.uk is due to go live in November.
