Department: Design

Position: Designer

Since: May 2010

For me, design was a subject I embraced and enjoyed from an early age. From my time at school, through to college where I studied graphic and 3D design.

My interest in web design started in around 1998 when whilst playing keyboards in a local band was asked if I could design and build the bands website (I had no idea if I actually could, but said yes anyway). After hours of searching the net for ideas and reading web tutorials I came across a website (sadly now extinct) that was built using Macromedia Flash (now owned by Adobe) which had a contemporary space-age theme, lots of crazy animation and user interaction and it totally blew my mind!

I spent a whole weekend straight learning how to use Flash and successfully managed to build the band website within 2 days – ever since then I have managed to teach myself other aspects of web design and still enjoy building sites to this day!

Whilst playing keyboards in a cheesy 80’s covers duo called ‘Don’t Panic’ back in 1998-99 (with bleached blond spiked hair and awful dress sense) – was luckily invited to perform a private Queen Tribute gig for Freddie Mercury’s PA and other members of his team (unfortunately Brian May and Roger Taylor wasn’t there).
