Introduction
Like many people I left school not really knowing what I wanted to do. I was always interested by art and design and I eventually worked out it was possible to put these skills into practice as a graphic designer. I decided to do a part-time HND in graphic design so I could learn the principles of design whilst remaining in employment. I successfully completed the course and I was lucky to get my first introduction to the creative industry working for a publishing company immediately afterwards. I worked in this role for 3 years before deciding to move up north to improve my career prospects. We settled on Nottingham and during my time there I succesfully held designer roles for a print design studio and a full service marketing agency. After a six year stint we decided to move back south to be closer to friends, family and the sea! I am now enjoying being a part of the Createanet design team, utilising my graphic design background to meet the new design challenges offered up daily in this fast moving industry.
