Introduction
I started out programming when I started secondary school - at the age of 11. I loved making mini applications using VBA in Microsoft Word, but ended up building applications which removed many of the much needed programs we, as pupils, needed. I got into alot of trouble for this, but managed to find myself a copy of Visual Basic 6 which ate up the remainder of my early years as a very basic programmer (making games mainly!).
When I left school, after my GCSE's I found myself getting into the web side of programming - in a very deep way. I spent many nights working closely with web security and found myself "pen testing" sites - for fun, not profit. This led me to learn a bunch of other programming languages such as C, C++, Perl and Python.
I eventually found my true self when I worked as a box packer in a warehouse for a growing online computer consumables company. As the night shifts went by, and the company grew, they heard about my past with programming and online server security, and decided to give me a job in the office. It wasn't long before I took over the complete control of their website, coding in updates and managing the day to day running of the site.
After several years working for them, I refined my programming skills by completing an Advanced Web Applications Development Open University course - and from that moment on I've never looked back. Since the course and to where I am now, I have run my own freelancing business, and completed a road trip across America - which was the shizzle.
