Createanet chosen by the Guardian Newspaper
Website design and marketing studio, Createanet has been chosen by the Guardian newspaper to advise on careers in website development in a 3 hour live question and answer forum for its readers.
After a recent article in a leading business magazine Founder and director of the Torquay based company, Kevin King, was selected as an expert and asked to pass on his knowledge of the website development industry.
Kevin said: “I’m delighted to have been asked to take part in the forum. It shows that our reputation for producing quality websites is widespread and that a Devon based company can gain a national reputation.
“The website development business is constantly changing and evolving, with new features coming on stream almost daily. It’s a hugely exciting time for the industry and knowledge is the key and i’m happy to share what i’ve learnt with others
Kevin, who started his working life as a chef, before switching to building websites, added: “I’ve been in the business for ten years and have loved it. It’s a fascinating industry to be part of with the introduction of new technology and faster download speeds making it possible for so many more features to be added to sites.
“The Guardian is one Britain’s leading sources for jobs and careers advice and I’m pleased I can pass on my experience to youngsters who are starting out in the trade and those thinking of switching careers.”
And he said the introduction of new techniques and technology is rapidly changing the way people view websites with more and more business owners wanting websites which set them apart from their competitors.
As such, there are vacancies in the web development industry for those who have the right abilities and qualities even in the current economic climate.
And he said Createanet, whose clients consist of a number of national and international blue chip companies such as Lionsgate Films and Icon Movies as well as many local businesses including Christine’s School of Motoring, Beverly Park and events sites such as What's On Southwest, is currently looking for an enthusiastic and talented web developer.
