Three leading Plymouth firms have called in a top Torbay web design company to help them raise their profile on the internet.
Paignton-based Createanet has recently completed new websites for the Pipex Group www.pipexlimited.com, the health and safety training firm SSG Training and Consultancy www.ssg.co.uk and the well known Devon homeware store, Lawson’s www.lawsonshop.co.uk
The Pipex Group – which has a head office at Roborough, Plymouth – has an international client list including oil giant BP, Plymouth based DML, energy supplier EDF, and British Nuclear Fuels Limited. The company designs, manufactures and installs corrosion resistant thermoplastic and composite products; from pipe and drainage systems to bridges and platforms.
As well as designing a new website for Pipex Limited, Createanet worked with them to make the site more Google friendly. Managing Director Kevin King explained; “They wanted to know why they weren’t coming up on Google, which is a site that 70 percent of all internet searches are done through. We are continuing with them on search engine optimisation, which is an essential part of any internet strategy.”
Pipex Limited Marketing Manager, Sarah Raynor, said she was very pleased with the way they were guided through the whole process. “We were extremely pleased with the customer service we received from Createanet. We had one point of contact the whole time so there was always someone to answer our questions. Createanet made something that seemed complicated at the start quite straightforward. And they were very open to our suggestions and ideas throughout the whole process.”
SSG Training and Consultancy who have centres across the region and a head office in Plymouth and Bristol and provide services to construction, commerce and industry personnel nationwide. They commissioned Createanet to revitalise their website in line with recent changes to their branding. “We were keen to provide site visitors with the information they required in a user friendly format whilst ensuring that our brand values were effectively conveyed,” said SSG Marketing Manager Denise Maclean. “Createanet ensured that the website met all our criteria by offering a new perspective on the project. We have found working with Createanet to be a real pleasure – they were always on hand to answer any questions we had and to provide guidance and assistance as required. We would not hesitate to use their services again or recommend them to others.”
The Devon homewares store Lawson’s has been serving customers for over 100 years and is still family run. It wanted to develop an order-online facility to enable customers to place their orders on the Lawson’s website and collect their goods from stores in Ivybridge, Plymouth, Tavistock or Totnes. Liz Lawson said working with Createanet had been a very positive experience. “We’ve been trading online since 2000 but we wanted to update the look of our website and improve our search engine optimisation. They helped us do this and have been extremely proactive and helpful throughout the whole process.”
“It’s great to be able to work with these highly regarded Devon companies,” said Createanet managing director Kevin King. “What we bring to all the websites is structure. We look at the site from the user’s perspective. Our job is not to show off what we can do but to show off the customer’s products and this is reflected in the way the site is laid out and how simple it is to use.”
