Christine’s School of Motoring

The Brief

Christine’s is a long term client of Createanet’s with us having built their first venture onto the internet. Their original website was very much a showcase type website powered primarily by flash technology, designed to really show the type of cars and type of service that they offered. As the internet has progressed Christine’s became more aware that they needed a more pro-active website, one that also offered the potential to sell gift vouchers and products online.

Our Approach

We first of all looked at all of the services that Christine’s have to offer and then created a website structure that clearly displayed the various types of lessons and driving school packages that Christine’s School of Motoring offers. We also looked at providing additional support for students such as: test help, and a dedicated members’ area, for existing students. As an additional feature we also factored in a full e-commerce solution, which allows Christine’s to support their students by selling them the correct books, L Plates and other driving paraphernalia etc.

The Result

Christine’s not only now have a website that has a high level of Visual Impact still incorporating some of the animated features that their previous site did, but now also provides good solid information, such as; details on the theory test, practical test and also an interactive FAQ section that allows customers to browse, frequently asked questions that come up whilst learning to drive. The E-Commerce side of the website has proved to be particularly successful with increased sales of gift vouchers and pre-buying of bulk quantities of lessons online. The website continues to generate new business and has allowed Christine’s to expand outside of the Torbay area, with a strong presence now also being in both Exeter and Plymouth and their surrounding areas.
