The Brief

Icon Home Entertainment approached Createanet with idea of creating an online presence for their Horror movies under the banner of Prepared To Be Scared.

Our Approach

After initial meetings with the client listening to ideas and plans, Createanet pitched the idea of creating a horror portal, to showcase their library of horror films, but also to build a social community around the films.

The client was very excited with the pitch for the project and Createanet set about building an online community for Prepared To Be Scared.

It was very important to client for them to be activity involved in the website, which meant the site had to be built on a bespoke content management system to allow this.

The client has the facility to add and maintain films creating search engine friendly film profiles, which they can add trailers, photos, reviews and links. The site is kept fresh with regular news updates and blogs from the horror industry and experts.

Site visitors are able to create their own profile, allowing them to interact with the website by rating and commenting on films. They are have access to exclusive content, like desktops and competitions to encourage users to visitor the site frequently.

The Result

Since it's launch Prepared To Be Scared has continued to grow and develop into a popular community for horror fans. The website's CMS area allows the client to keep fans up to date with upcoming films, news and competitions using simple and manageable online forms to enter the information. As the library of films continues to grow, the website is becoming a popular resource for movie fans.
