The Brief

After providing a number of custom built applications to help SVP manage their stock and various other warehouse issues, SVP asked Createanet to look into providing a bespoke solution for their ever growing e-commerce business.

Our Approach

Due to the volumes being created we felt that it was essential to first of all build what was effectively quite a basic e-commerce solution and look at the basic needs of the customer and SVP. Then after a series of weekly meetings with the managing director and his team we progressed the site on a very much hands on basis, looking at all their potential problems and issues that the current system was producing and offering up custom built solutions for each one of these problems. The system not only had to incorporate the customers’ experience it also had to incorporate full stock control warehouse systems as well as staff tracking through packing despatch etc. A great number of customer notifications to maintain SVP’s ethos of good customer service.

The Result

It is a highly scaleable solution that now works across two warehouses and numbers its orders in the thousands per day. The system features a highly complex order and stock tracking system as well as a full audit trail so that the administration staff have complete information on every order placed and the variety of people working on those orders have all of the information to hand when and if they need it. SVP went on to employ their own in-house development team which Createanet are pleased to support, as well as to provide the multi-server hosting solution the system and volume requires.
