The Brief

Createanet was approached to provide a search friendly site that would provide backup to the clients’ already extensive catalogue.  During our initial consultation, it became apparent that the customer not only needed a search friendly site where customers could use the catalogue and gather further information from the website but they also needed a method to provide printed material if required to customers based on their own requirements.

Our Approach

On studying the customers’ catalogue it became clear that there was a unique product number for every item listed, so in order to incorporate this and make it easier for the site user to find the specific product on the website, we incorporated a reference number search within the site, this enabled site visitors to simply key in a four digit code and be taken directly to the product they might be looking for.  Apart from providing the customer with these innovative tools we also provided the customer with a back end solution for their website which enabled them to print catalogues on the fly, based on client quotations, this allows the site administrator to simply select a category or group of products and then the system will automatically generate a dynamic pdf document, completely designed and styled in keeping with the clients’ corporate image and send it to the client concerned.

The Result

Capricorn now have a well designed search engine friendly website, that despite having a large stock inventory is easy to navigate and very easy for site users to find particular items they are looking for.  This combined with the innovative administration tools we have provided has given Capricorn a stable platform on which to grow their online business.
